Some chocolate and similar products contain shea butter or shea oil. For this raw material, there are additional pesticide limits in the EU. However, I could not find any regulation stating that this product can be used as food /vegetable fat. Does anyone have any expertise in this topic?

Shea butter is one of the confectionery fats that had compatibility with cocoa butter due to thr presence of symmetrical triglycerides. AFAIK. Shea butter is gathered from the fruit of a tree that grows innthe wild, then why you would worry about pesticide residues when its not a farmer item?
